System Requirements

GTA V Enhanced needs at least a Core i7-4770 or FX-9590, 8GB of RAM, a GTX 1630 or RX 6400 and 105GB of SSD space, while the older Legacy version runs on far lighter hardware. These figures come from Rockstar's support article last updated on 10 December 2025.

Account and install rules

Installation and multiplayer play need a log-in to the Rockstar Games network, and an internet connection is required for activation and periodic entitlement checks. The installer adds the Rockstar Games platform, DirectX, Chromium and the Microsoft Visual C++ 2008 SP1 Redistributable. Each serial code registers to one Rockstar Games account, only one log-in is allowed per account at a time, and used codes cannot be transferred. Rockstar warns that downloadable content and programming changes will change the requirements over time, and that mobile chipsets, integrated graphics and AGP cards can be incompatible.

The split between the two editions is explained on version history, and key bindings are on default controls.
