GTA 6
Everything confirmed about GTA 6 starts from one situation: Lucia has just left prison, she teams up with Jason, and the pair try to get by in the state of Leonida. That starting point matters because the trailers frame the whole story as a couple under pressure, not as a lone criminal climbing a ladder.
Lucia and Jason as a Playable Pair in GTA 6
The two leads are Lucia Caminos and Jason Duval, and the series has not had a female lead in this role for many years. Trailers show them as partners in a Bonnie and Clyde mold, with Lucia often shown as the planner and Jason as the one who carries out the plan. How much control the player gets over each of them is not something the trailers answer.
Lucia's release from prison sets the tone, because it implies a debt to someone and a reason to need money quickly. Jason looks more relaxed on screen, yet he is clearly tied to the same underworld.
Fans on forums talk about the pair as a shared story first and a gameplay system second. That is a fair reading of what has actually been shown.
Leonida, Vice City and the Six Regions
The setting is Leonida, a fictional take on Florida, and Vice City is its coastal center. Six regions have been confirmed, including Vice City itself, and road signs in the trailers point to places such as Port Gellhorn and the Leonida Keys.
Trailers move from neon streets and beaches to swamps, rural towns and islands. That range suggests a map that is wider than a single city, though exact size and travel time have not been confirmed.
Players who loved the older Vice City will notice the name and the neon, but the layout is described as new. Expect familiar mood with different streets.
Supporting Cast Seen in the Trailers
Several characters have been named: Boobie Ike, Brian Heder, Cal Hampton, Dre'Quan Priest, Real Dimez and Raul Bautista. Boobie Ike is a Vice City businessman with interests in real estate and music, and he has signed Real Dimez to his label.
Fans also spotted what looks like the return of Phil Cassidy, a gun dealer from the older titles. That sighting is a theory based on a few frames, and nothing official confirms it.
Roles for the rest of the cast are unclear. Trailers show faces and scenes, not missions, so any claim about who works for whom is a guess.
What Remains Unconfirmed About GTA 6
The biggest gap is detail about how the game plays. Trailers show driving, shootouts and social media clips of Vice City residents, but they do not explain mission structure, progression or controls. Anyone who claims to know these details is relying on leaks.
The wait for the game has also been a source of frustration. The release window has moved more than once, and some fans say the long silence between trailers made the delays harder to accept. The current date is November 19, 2026 for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S, with no confirmed date for PC.
A sensible approach is to treat confirmed facts as the baseline and wait for hands-on reports before forming strong opinions.
When does GTA 6 come out on PC?
No PC date has been announced. The only confirmed launch is on consoles, and previous entries in the series reached PC later, so many players expect a gap but nobody can confirm one.
Who are the main characters in GTA 6?
The leads are Lucia and Jason, with Boobie Ike, Brian Heder, Cal Hampton, Dre'Quan Priest, Real Dimez and Raul Bautista among the named supporting cast. Lucia is the one shown leaving prison in the trailers.
Where is GTA 6 set?
The story takes place in Leonida, a fictional version of Florida, with Vice City as its largest city. Six regions are confirmed, and swamps, beaches and rural areas have all appeared on screen.
Until real hands-on impressions arrive, GTA 6 remains a promise built from trailers, and the pairing of Lucia and Jason in Vice City is the part everyone can agree on.
